Sprain-free Device for Sport Shoes
Sprain-free device for sport shoes can actively provide protection when sprain risk is detected. The device consists of three parts: sensing, identification and correction. It has a sensor to detect the ankle motion in a real time manner. The identification part can determine the sprain risk based on the data collected. If the motion has risk of sprains, the correction system will be initiated to delay or stop the sprain motion. The corrective system, which is a myoelectric stimulation device, can deliver electric signals to the peroneal muscles at the lateral shank to correct the spraining motion.
