Dr Lee joined Textile Alliance Limited (TAL) in Hong Kong in 1973. He is now Chairman of TAL Apparel Group, which currently employs over 20,000 employees.
Dr Lee is actively involved in a number of trade organisations in Hong Kong. He is the Honorary Chairman of the Hong Kong Garment Manufacturer's Association and Textile Council of Hong Kong Ltd.
Dr Lee was educated in both the United Kingdom and the United States of America. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Imperial College, London, UK and a Doctorate from Brown University, USA.
Dr Lee was named in the Queen's birthday honours list as an Officer of the British Empire (OBE) in 1996. He was appointed a Justice of Peace (JP) in 1997 and awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star (SBS) at the Fourth Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR in 2001.
Dr Lee was conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Business Administration by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2012.

Mr Edwin KEH
Mr Keh is the CEO of the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel. He is also on Faculty at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology where he teaches supply chain operations.
Until April 2010 Edwin was the SVP COO of Wal-Mart Global Procurement. Prior to Wal-Mart Edwin managed a consulting group that has done work for companies on supply chain, manufacturing, and product design. The practice also did work for non-profit organizations and charities. Edwin co-founded the Consortium For Operational Excellence in Greater China (COER GC). The Consortium is sponsored by the Wharton School and Tsinghua University.
Edwin had a career as senior executive with several US consumer goods and retail companies. He was the Managing Director of Payless Shoesource International, Donna Karan International, and Country Road Australia. He also worked for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees.
Edwin serves on multiple industry and educational boards. He advises several other social enterprises.
Edwin is the 2011 recipient of the Production and Operations Management Society’s Martin K. Starr Excellence in Production and Operations Management Practice Award, and is on the Debrett’s Hong Kong 100 as one of the most influential people in Technology and Digital sector.
Dr Gloria Lei YAO, PhD
Dr Yao has considerable research experience of textile and clothing. She played a key role in a number of research projects on the textiles and clothing area. Her research specialises in textile/clothing-human body interactions with focus areas on textiles material and skin, textiles functions and its health impaction, sportswear design and human physiology evaluation.
Dr Yao has published over a dozen papers in refereed journal and 30 papers in refereed conference proceedings. She has written several books/chapters on Technology Roadmap of Textile and Clothing Industry and Denim Industry of Mainland China and Hong Kong. She is a reviewer to Textile Research Journal, Journal of American Academy of Dermatology, International Journal of Dermatology and editor to Journal of Fiber Bioengineering and Informatics. She held post-doctoral fellowship of the New Zealand Wool Research Institute in the University of Otago. She is the director of Textile Bioengineering Informatics Society.
Dr Ray CHEUNG, PhD
Dr Cheung holds a BSc degree in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University, MPhil and PhD degree from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research interests lie in adsorption technology and wastewater treatment. He has published over ten technical papers in journals and conference proceedings.
Dr Cheung was a Senior Regional Manager in BASF, responsible for sales, marketing and research and development of adsorbents for Asia Pacific Region. Prior to that, he was a Chemist in ESSO Hong Kong and a Research Specialist in CLP Research Institute, responsible for research project development focusing on the utilization of renewable energy.
Ms Yan W Y Chan, MSC
Ms Chan is experienced in textile and apparel manufacturing, sourcing and retailing. Prior to joining HKRITA, she was Division Merchandising Manager in Ralph Lauren, responsible for global sourcing, cost planning, merchandising, and material and product development. Before that, Ms Chan was with a number of global textile and apparel companies including Burlington WorldWide Limited, Esquel Group, Gap International Sourcing (Holdings) Limited and Smart Shirts Limited, responsible for global sourcing, merchandising, licensing, and research and development.
Ms Chan graduated with a Higher Diploma in Textile Technology from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and obtained a Master of Science degree in Textiles and Clothing Management from the University of Leeds.
Ms Pandora J M CHAN, MA
Ms Chan graduated from the City University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Arts degree (first class honours) in Translation and Interpretation and then obtained her Master of Arts degree in Language and Law. Before joining HKRITA, Ms Chan has served in various public organisations, including the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation, Occupational Safety and Health Council, Hong Kong Sports Development Board, Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority and Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) where she was responsible for corporate administration, external relations and publicity.
