Technical Manager (Ref. No.: HKRITA-TM-05/17)
Responsibilities
  • set up new laboratories and the relevant facilities for the HKRITA;
  • establish and manage the operation of the wet and dry chemical laboratories;
  • formulate and implement the operation policies and procedures for the laboratories and optimize the performance of the laboratories;
  • provide comprehensive technical services in laboratory and safety management, equipment procurement and maintenance, etc.;
  • assess, verify and monitor the procurement, operation and maintenance of the equipment for the laboratories and the in-house projects;
  • ensure the laboratories are complied with all laboratory rules and safety regulations;
  • carry out regular routine maintenance, inspection and stock control of the laboratory equipment;
  • conduct training on laboratory safety and emergency response as well as laboratory orientation;
  • prepare and manage budgets and other resources in the laboratories; and
  • perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • a recognised degree or above in Chemistry, Textile Technology, Laboratory Science or a related discipline;
  • at least 5 years’ relevant experience in laboratory management, laboratory building services, electrical and mechanical services, etc.;
  • familiar with HOKLAS (Hong Kong Laboratory Accreditation Scheme);
  • a good team player with a strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal and problem solving skills;
  • independent and able to work under pressure;
  • high proficiency in MS Office applications and Chinese word processing; and
  • a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • To design the whole processing system, integrating sanization methods and auto colour sorting system;
  • To be in charge of experiment design (DoE), trial design, sanization method mechanism investigation, sanization method development and data analysis for the whole project; 
  • To manage R & D projects, including technical and financial aspects and other project administrative tasks such as preparing project updates and reports;
  • To work closely with R&D researchers and personnel; 
  • To coordinate with local and overseas universities, research institutions and business partners and handle enquires in a professional manner; and

Requirements
  • A doctoral or master degree in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Microbiology or a related discipline;
  • 3 or more years of research/ relevant work experience, preferably with experience in project management or sustainability;
  • Ability to collaborate with different parties professionally during all interfaces;
  • Highly-organized, capable of working under pressure with multi-task assignments;
  • Excellent interpersonal skill; and 
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with good command of Putonghua being an asset.

  • Excellent interpersonal skill; and

Requirements
  • A recognized degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline;
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience, with experience in R&D, project design, machinery development, textile or fashion related industry being an advantage; 
  • Highly-organized, capable of working under pressure with multi-task assignments; 
  • Excellent interpersonal skill; and 
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with good command of Putonghua being an asset.

Responsibilities
  • To conduct preliminary research/ analysis of target technological areas, such as functional textile, dye, textile recycle, green chemistry, and textile engineering;

Requirements
  • A recognized degree in Textiles and Clothing, Chemistry, Engineering or a related discipline. Preference will be given to those graduates with an MPhil degree;

  • knowledge in functional textile and apparel, strong practical skill in textile and apparel testing and data analysis (including physical and chemical properties testing, and physiological implication evaluation);
